RCE 009: Isaiah Fliessbach – Developing Your Sense of Presence & Well-Being, by Working with the Body
29th January, 2017
On the show this week, I’m talking to my friend Isaiah Fliessbach. Isaiah and I met on a True Body Intelligence (TBI) retreat in Portugal, that he was running with Elwin Robinson. TBI is a physical practice and whenever I try to describe it a certainly do not do it justice. It is similar to trying to distil 6,000 years’ worth of wisdom down into a 30 second elevator pitch. TBI is a stretching method that will enable you to release a lot of stress and tension that is in the muscle and the fascia tissue. This has a direct effect on your emotional state and your sense of presence and well-being.
“It’s my mission to help highly committed people to free themselves from the chronic tension and stress that prevents us from living an empowered life!” Click to tweet
Isaiah has completely committed himself to his mission and his cause of helping others who are committed to freeing themselves from stress and tension, and moving on forward to step into an empowered life. He is such a grateful person, and inspiring to be around. The healing journey takes a lot of work and consistency that requires us to face our dark shadows within. For Isaiah, he describes how his ability to show kindness and compassion to those around him is a direct reflection of the work that he has done on himself.
Isaiah not only shares about TBI, but also talks about a vocal technique you can use to start calming down the mind. There will always be an opportunity for stress in our lives, and that stress response can eat away at your body, doing more damage than we often realize. What it ultimately comes down to is our relationship with stress, tuning into our bodies, and understanding how to face it on a day-to-day basis.

More About This Episode:
Isaiah Fliessbach is the Founder of The Inner Foundation and it is his true mission to help highly committed people to free themselves from the chronic tensions and stresses preventing them from living an empowered life. Isaiah was born in California and his family lived a life dedicated to living a natural lifestyle. Living naturally meant growing their own food to eat, building homes for their family by hand, sourcing water, and living as one within their environment.
Although he was raised in that lifestyle, it was not until he was a teenager that Isaiah began on his own journey to actively work on himself, to learn how to live out and maintain his exceptional health. One of Isaiah’s strongest gifts is embodying and sharing gratitude with those around him. He also uncovered an innate ability to help others to wake up to more of their own potential. Over the years, Isaiah has discovered that the key to his gift has been his own journey of healing.
It is out of his personal awakening that he believes to ultimately be able to serve our communities. Isaiah sees the body and mind as inseparable partners and believes in the power of the body to heal itself. To help others on their journey, he brings to light the many ways to strip away the stresses of life, and strongly believes that this is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves, and for our lives as a whole.
