What’s The Point Of A Biodegradable Bin Bag?

Saved in:    Events, Classes & Announcements,General

What’s the point of a biodegradable bin bag (trash bag) if you fill it up with plastic?

Today I bought some biodegradable bin bags, and it’s really made me think about what I put in them.

I recycle everything possible anyway, but it’s made me extra vigilant about what else I can do. The fact that I know the bin bag is going to biodegrade and leave the contents for mother earth to deal with really brings a new awareness.

It’s the same as the human body.

If you start to become aware of what you put into your body, it starts to make you care about what else you do with it, like exercising.

It’s rare to find a drug addict that eats healthy.

It works both ways too. Eating junk leads to not really caring what you do with your body in other ways. It’s rare to find a drug addict that eats healthy.

If I were to ever use non-biodegradable bin bags again, it would give me an excuse to not care as much about what I put in them. That’s the challenge of being human, it seems.

I’ve watched a friend of mine go through her first 5 day juice fast very recently. It’s been beautiful to be around and see her start exercising for pretty much the first time in her adult life (by her own admission).

Rarely, if ever, do we stand still in life.

As the late and great Jim Rohn said, “Everything matters, it all matters.”

Rarely, if ever, do we stand still in life. We’re either moving towards or away from where we want to be.

Setting up more ‘bio-degradable bin bags’ in your life might help you move forwards in your awareness.

Have you seen this in your own life? What habits have you changed that made a difference in other (unexpected) areas. Let me know in the comments below.

Why I’d Like You To Choose Your Own Price For My eBooks

Saved in:    General,Raw Food Diet & Excercise

I’m releasing my inner-hippy.

And it feels good…

I was recently inspired by Tad Hargraves of marketingforhippies.com to think about offering my eBooks on a ‘pay what you can afford’ system.

When I asked, on my Facebook page, if you thought it was a good idea I was really energised by the positive comments on there.

And I know that when I get that physical feeling – that unmistakable energy in my body – it’s something that excites me and is something that I explore further.

Someone then suggested I check out Brian Johnson’s website as he does exactly the same thing. I wrote to Brian and said that I felt inspired to follow his example, and here we are…I’m now offering a sliding scale pricing for my eBooks.

The idea is this…

Average Joe On The Raw

Saved in:    General,Raw Food Diet Video,Raw Life Transformation

Average Joe Raw Food

Check out the film website here.

It’s my absolute pleasure to introduce you to Average Joe aka Seth Hayhurst.

I’ve been blessed to have been involved in this project that sees Seth go raw for 60 days, with my help as his raw food instructor.

I’ve been working with the whole team on this project for many months now after the idea was conceptualized in a conversation in my apartment, growing beyond what any of us could expect.

You and I know that when someone starts to eat raw, magic happens…

The thing that I love about this project is that Seth appeared to be a healthy guy, until he got tested to find that even at the age of 30, serious issues were about to start to hit. But this film is so much more than about food choices and getting healthy.

You and I know that when someone starts to eat raw, magic happens…and this is what you’re going to get in this film – pure magic, ups and downs, and inspiration by the bucketload.

Check out the trailer:

5 Things I Learnt By Opting Out Of An Airport Body Scan

Saved in:    General

With the recent reports that showed X-ray body scanners in airports “after testing produced dramatically higher than expected results” recently, and with more money set aside to buy more, plus my first ever X-ray ‘opt-out’ at Los Angeles Airport today, it seems a good time to pass along my experiences of what actually happened when I opted out, and some surprises I got.

There have been some horror stories of people being subjected to overly personal patdowns and being made to feel like criminals. Although the intention of these articles is good – informing people of what’s going on – it made me a little nervous about asking for a patdown myself because I just didn’t know what was going to happen.

In sharing my experiences I hope you find the courage to stand up for something you believe in and take this in your stride.

I’ve never been at an airport that uses body scanners, so when I arrived at LAX and saw these 2 big black scanners, I was relieved that they seemed not be in use.

I went through the normal routine of putting all my possessions in trays to go through the x-ray machine, to then see a TSA employee open up the scanner just as the person in front of me was due to go through.

I started to get nervous. I was hoping that I wouldn’t be selected, as it seemed to be a fairly random selection of whom they asked to go through the scanner.

But I was selected and said, “I’d like to opt out”. I was asked to stand to one side as the TSA employee shouted, “opt-out”. She shouted this 3 times before someone came to speak to me.
