Heavy Metal Smoothie

Heavy Metal Smoothie

The aim of this smoothie is to remove metals from your body, which can be easily find their way into your system in various ways.

Last year I had a session with Anthony William (the Medical Medium) to discover that I have metals in my system.  He told me I was born with these and that they were starting to oxidise, which was the cause of my headaches at the time.

He told me about this combination of coriander (cilantro) and spirulina to remove them, so I went to work creating a smoothie with them that I’d actually enjoy.

Obviously coriander is the dominant flavour here, but you can start with a smaller amount of it and build up as you get used to it.  That also goes for the spirulina.

I would suggest you drink this over the course of around no less than 15 minutes, as any quicker will ‘zing’ you.  For me that shows up as being a little vacant and even very slightly dizzy.  It’s definitely a heady feeling that will pass after about 10 minutes usually.

As I write this, I also realise I drink the one in the picture way to close to bed time.  Now I’m remembering how much spirulina wakes me up.

You can read more about how this will detoxify metals in your body by clicking here.  In the linked article they use chlorella, which does the same job as spirulina.

Recipe

I like the Healthforce Nutritionals one. I also really like Gourmet Spirulina – they do cunchy nibs and flakes, which are great for salads.

Hi Russell, as a kid we ran through the DDT sprays every summer. I’m 65 now and want to detox the metals. Would you recommend Klamath Lake BlueGreen Algae, as I use this food daily?

Thank you for sharing this recipe! I am a huge fan of Anthony Williams. I myself had a session for my daughter about 10 years ago with him before he made it big. I am also a detox specialist and I work with many clients on heavy metal detox. We are bombarded with heavy metals these days, especially with so many Chemtrails being sprayed on us daily which is basically aluminum that we are breathing. It is essential we detox ourselves on a consistent basis.

    Hi Russell,
I’m assuming that you use raw coconut water in this recipe …….. as in Rebel Kitchen or similar!

Hi Russell , I’m really struggling to keep my energy levels up. I am celiac and I’m also diary free. I have 3 children under 5 and I need to feel Spritely. I have also found it extremely hard to shift the baby weight third time round which is really getting me down. What can you recommend to boost me up ?
    Thanks Janine

Hey Janine, it’s difficult to say and a little out of my ability to say what’s keeping you tired. It’s probably not just a case of giving you an ingredient or a recipe to perk you up, so I would suggest looking up a naturopath and working wth them on what’s going on for you.

Do you think these smoothies and the raw food would help with a body that doesnt make cortisol anymore. Iv been on prednisone for 15 years and can’t wean off it.

Hey Lynda, I don’t have any experience with that, so I’m really not sure. It would be something to check with a naturopath or doctor.

    Dear Russell,
First of all thank for all your wonderful recipes and information you provide. My question is how often should you drink this to receive the detox benefits of metals?
    Thanks,
    Kristin

I personally feel good about drinking it a couple of times a week. The article I linked to in the intro says that 42 days is enough to clear 80% of the metals in your body (I’m assuming they mean daily) but everyone will have different levels and will take different times. I would suggest getting a blood test done and then drinking this a few times a week for 3 months and then getting a test done again to see where you’re at.

Thank you Russell! I look forwards to trying this. I love all the ingredients.
I had all the mercury removed from my teeth 17 years ago now (?) but know heavy metals not only linger in the body but that i am subjected to them every day in the atmosphere and via things i eat (thinking fish).
Can i ask you how often you would make this smoothie? I do eat and love seaweed. I’ve also got some spirulina, chlorella, barley grass and matcha powder which i rotate, usually having one or two of these every day on it’s own (in water). So i’m probably doing pretty well already. But some advice on when and how often wouldn’t go amiss. Interesting what you say about not having it close to bed time. I quite often have a tsp of barley grass mixed with matcha first thing in the morning – this has been known at times to make me feel a bit nauseous, so i know it’s a powerful flush.
    Thanks for your posts.

    Hi Russell
I’ve been doing the medical mediums detox diet for about 30 day now apart from using cilantro because I cant find any organic stuff up my way. …highlands of Scotland! been using coriander capsules instead but would prefer fresh. Do you think it’s important that the cilantro be organic? Also are you using hawaian spirulina?
I’m feeling really good on his diet and my body seems to enjoy all the fruit. Cutting out saturated fat seems to have helped also with many condition (ms) and I’m working toward reversing my symptoms.

Hey Jackie, that sounds awesome, I’m glad you’re doing so well.

Yes, I do think it’s important to have organic. That being said, I’m not sure if non-organic would inhibit the removal of metals. I feel like it would be just as effective, but that’s just a guess.

      I use Healthforce Nutritionals Spirulina.

I look forward to trying this one. I’ve gotten in to the daily green smoothie habit over the last several months, and the eye-popping “zing” really surprised me. For me, it’s like a quick shot of strong coffee, which I don’t drink for that reason, but the effect doesn’t last quite as long, thankfully. Still can’t drink them in the evenings if I want to sleep.

Hey Wen, it can be a lot to start with, so you could tone it down to start.

There’s no official recommended daily dose, so you could just go with whatever it says on the label of the brand you buy.
